About us

On May 23, 1852 Trinity congregation was officially born with the help of pastor Beckel who was serving a congregation in town Hubbard between Woodland and Hustisford. Pastor Beckel led Lutherans and huilsburg area to organize a congregation. The new congregation would become known as Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. It is not known whether a church was built the same year. A church was most likely built in 1853. As indicated in the church's abstract the land was obtained from Catharina Barbara Kob on what is now Goodland Road and County Road S.

Little is known of the first 10 years of Trinity. Official records were not kept. 1862 is when the official church records begin. However, at that time geological history was taken of all the families in the congregation. It can be assumed that those baptized, confirmed, married, and deaths recorded at that time were all part of our church’s history.

While many things have changed, one thing has remained constant through the over 150 years that Trinity has been a church. Trinity and its members are committed to teaching the Bible in its truth and purity, and leading many more people to know their loving Savior.
